Filming an entire movie in just one day is kinda crazy, but I’m no stranger to it. The quick and dirty production for the emotional short film “All She Wrote” assured this past Saturday was a very long and productive day with some creative and awesome people. This is going to be a good film.
Some of my favorite setups were the drama scenes near the big window where wrap-around lighting is always beautiful, figuring out the peephole POV shots, and the mailbox sequence. There’s some more good stuff we did, but I don’t want to give anything away.
Shot on KOMODO-X + Z–PL Speed Booster + SLR Magic APO HyperPrimes and Sirui Jupiter 28-85mm lenses. Had to move quick so I only used one grip light — a Nanlite Pavoslim 240C — mixed with sun and practicals. Sachtler aktive8T + flowtech75. CoreSWX power and Matthews support, as always.
