Day 2 of “Faith Healing”. Working with a great bunch of people in Senoia, GA.Day 2 of filming “Faith Healing” — a methodical and motivated move was needed on this shot so I opted to boom the camera over the table on a short arm jib so it appeared to float above without any sign of track.Day 3 — Working with the awesome @cathywheeler51 underneath my trusty (and quadruple-sandbagged) @matthewsgrip double-boom C+stand effortlessly keeping a lightweight mat light where it needs to be all day. In the background is the incomparable @thedanadolly on dual Matthews “The Slider Stand” slider stands. On-location in a private residence so I’m using furnis for light stand etiquette.Day 3 wrapped last night. 2 or 3 hours early again. It helps having the equipment and hands to get setup for multiple scenes at once so the director has more options and the company can fly through the scenes. Another day in the can in Senoia, GA.Day 3 wrapped! Off tomorrow so it’s time for some karaoke with some of my film peeps at Tavern on 74.Day 4 — Thanks to all our extras! We couldn’t have done it without you. Big cast and crew selfie at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church.Day 5 — Filming the exterior school / track scenes for Faith Healing at Trinity Christian School. What a perfect day with perfect weather. I had hoped for either cloudless sun or overcast sky, but God, my favorite gaffer, decided to give me cloudless sun all day and at just the right angles.Faith Healing, Day 5 — Relaxing between shots; waiting for something to fly to set. What a beautiful day.Faith Healing, Day 5 — Filming some moody exterior scenes amid Trinity Christian School’s track and field bleachers.“Faith Healing” Day 5 — On a clear day you can light forever. My favorite gaffer supplied a perfect point source whose only drawback was that it continuously moved across the sky. I decided the best way to utilize the source was to simultaneously diffuse and bounce it using @matthewsgrip fabrics and stands.“Faith Healing” Day 6 — Filming the hospital scenes in a school classroom at Carroll County Schools College and Career Academy North. After Day 5’s perfect weather it was only right that Day 6 rained all day. To make matters worse, the school’s parking lot had been recently repaved so we couldn’t get the equipment truck to the door. Instead, we had to park in the adjacent parking lot up a hill and a long flight of stairs, outside, in the rain, both ways. Thank God for pelis and slip-resistent sneakers.
