My January 2026 became quite full. TL;DR: I worked on Cody Ottinger’s feature “A Great All American Slasher Film” on weekends as his DP when I got sick and Winter Storm Fern hit.
One week my van got a flat tire because the wheel itself cracked and it was an adventure airing up the tire every 10 minutes to limp the van home and hopefully get it all repaired in time to go back to Cody’s set. At that point I was sick and had to cancel. The next weekend, Fern hit, and I was so sick it didn’t matter anyway. I finally admitted myself to the hospital and wound up needing surgery. Now, I’m on the mend and feeling 1000% better, I got my US Passport with plenty of time to spare till my cruise, and because now I’m diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic I’m trying to eat a lot healthier.
A loaded start to the new year, but I’m doing great thanks to Natasha taking care of me! Looking forward to the film race at the end of February.
